This food is an excellent source of protein, vitamin B3, iron, phosphorus and selenium. Selenium is a trace mineral found naturally in meat and fish.
Selenium is necessary for the normal functioning of the immune system and thyroid gland. Selenium is known for its role in various functions such as anticancer, joint health, skin and coat, immune resistance and antioxidant properties etc.
Niacin otherwise known as vitamin B3 is found naturally in meat, offal meat such as liver and fish.
B-complex vitamins are water-soluble vitamins that are not stored in the body, therefore needs to be supplied by the diet.
